The head of the State Tax Service explained why "Kyrgyzneftegaz" was not audited during Tashiev's tenure.
The head of the GNS added that violations could be detected through a unified database, as well as through invoices and tax revenues, but an appointment for a physical inspection was required to initiate an audit. "Currently, a tax audit has already been initiated, and the actual data we see in the modules is confirmed by the results of the audit. A case has already been initiated and is under the control of the General Prosecutor's Office. I am not familiar with the investigation of Bolot Temirov, but I can say that we acted differently," Shykmamatov added.
He also emphasized that after the release of the first investigation, the GKNB should have initiated an inspection at "Kyrgyzneftegaz," and the absence of such an inspection indicates the special conditions under which the company operated.
In conclusion, the head of the tax service reported that additional investigations would be conducted.
It is worth noting that the GNS subordinate institution "Salyk Service" published a report on "Kyrgyzneftegaz," claiming that due to dubious schemes and intermediary machinations, the state company lost more than 4 billion soms. "After analyzing the data and invoices for the period from 2021 to 2025, three key schemes were identified through which profits from state oil were redistributed into private hands linked to relatives and close associates of the former head of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev," the GNS statement said.
