The Jogorku Kenesh approved the bill aimed at implementing the project for improving the roads of the city of Osh in the second reading.

- During the plenary session on March 18, 2016, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and supported the draft law "On the Ratification of the Financing Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Development Bank for the project 'Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh,' which includes the construction of two elevated bridges and a road section with a length of 3.2 km. The agreement was signed on December 29, 2025, in Bishkek.

The draft law was presented by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Ulukbek Janibekov.

According to him, the project "Improvement of Roads in the City of Osh" includes the construction of two elevated bridges, an overpass over A. Masaliev and V. Lenin streets, as well as a bridge over the Ak-Buura River. In addition, it is planned to widen the streets to 4-6 lanes with a median strip.

The total cost of the project is 19.31 million dollars, of which 14.15 million dollars will be provided as a loan for 15 years, and 1.24 million dollars will be given as a grant. The grace period is 5 years, with an interest rate set at 1.2%.
