This document includes changes related to the financial provision of the special fund in the area of natural monopolies.
In particular, the draft proposes to amend Article 20 of the current legislation concerning the funding of the fund from the republican budget.
The current version establishes that the funding is set at 25%, while the new version plans to remove the specific mention of the percentage and formulate the provision more generally.
In addition, the Ministry of Economy proposes that the procedure for forming, using, and the volume of the fund's resources be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. This implies the transfer of regulatory powers on these issues to the level of subordinate legislation.
According to the draft, if adopted, the law will come into effect 10 days after its official publication. The Cabinet of Ministers will be given six months to bring its regulatory acts into compliance with the new norms after the law comes into force.
