Moscow: Gala Concert in an Atmosphere of Unity
A jubilee, twentieth gala concert dedicated to the Nowruz holiday took place in Moscow. This event united the peoples living in Russia under the banner of friendship and mutual respect.
The concert gathered participants from various regions, as well as representatives of the diaspora. The organizers prepared a rich cultural program featuring both popular Russian artists and ethnic groups.
On stage, one could see the Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Marshal, the group "Zemlyane," the People's Artist of Dagestan Amrid Kelechiev with the project "Bakhtavar," the duet "Para" from Karachay-Cherkessia, musician Ravil Lirov from Altai, and the winner of the project "Nu-ka, All Together!" Minzhasar Murzaev. The performances of the Kyrgyz choreographic ensemble "Keremet" created a special atmosphere.
The concert was held in the format of a "Blue Light," creating a cozy, intimate setting. The hosts, seated at tables with dishes from various nations, discussed the traditions of Nowruz and engaged the audience in dialogue.
A representative of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow noted that Russia is a unique country with more than 190 ethnic groups. This diversity of cultures and traditions allows peoples to unite and overcome difficulties, which is illustrated by the bright holiday of Nowruz.
Seoul: A Celebration with a Sense of Home
Kyrgyzstanis also celebrated Nowruz with great enthusiasm in the Republic of Korea. A festive event took place in Seoul with the participation of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea, Aida Ismailova.
The program included cultural performances, traditional rituals, and national games. Guests could witness the tushoo kesuu — a symbolic ritual of a child's first steps, as well as participate in competitions in kol kuresh (arm wrestling) and arkan tartysh (tug of war).
The concert part of the event featured Kyrgyz songs and dances, creating an atmosphere of a true folk celebration. Compatriots actively communicated, sharing news and memories of their homeland.
Participants noted that such meetings are important for the diaspora, as they help preserve cultural identity and pass on traditions to the youth. They thanked the organizers for the high level of the event and the warm atmosphere.
Paris: Nowruz with a French Accent
As reported to our publication VB.KG by Deputy Ambassador Ruslan Bekbolotov, the celebration of Nowruz in Paris has been postponed to April.
This decision was made due to the cold and unstable weather in March, which does not allow for organizing street events at the proper level.
France, supporting cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, expects that the April celebration will be held at a high level and will reveal the richness of Kyrgyz traditions. The event is anticipated to gather Kyrgyzstanis, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and local residents, becoming a significant cultural event.
Despite the distances, Kyrgyzstanis continue to carefully preserve their traditions. Nowruz is a holiday that unites people regardless of their place of residence, reminding them of their cultural roots and common values.
Such events not only strengthen ties within the diaspora but also contribute to the development of cultural dialogue with other nations, creating a positive image of Kyrgyzstan abroad.
