Members of the council, as well as representatives from various government institutions, international organizations, and the non-governmental sector, participated in the meeting. Reports were discussed regarding activities aimed at supporting children with disabilities, measures for disability prevention, including the implementation of screening methods and the associated challenges, as well as the development of inclusive education for children with special educational needs. A presentation of a project plan for the implementation of the Program for Creating Conditions for Psychological, Medical, and Pedagogical Support for People with Special Psychophysical Development from 2026 to 2030 in Kyrgyzstan was also presented.
At the end of the meeting, recommendations were formulated and steps were defined to improve state policy in this area.
