The meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format has started in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
On the eve, a meeting was held in a narrow circle, and today additional participants joined the heads of delegations from the member countries.
Friday is the last day of the three-day visit of the Prime Minister of Russia to Kazakhstan. He arrived in Astana on Wednesday, where he held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov.
As a result of the meeting, the Council plans for the heads of delegations to participate in the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 digital forum.
The agenda includes discussions on issues of deepening integration among EAEU countries, improving customs administration, developing industrial cooperation and integrated information systems, as well as protecting consumer rights and analyzing the macroeconomic situation in the member states.
