The government has proposed to change the timelines
Proposals to postpone the timelines for the establishment of crematoriums in Kyrgyzstan were voiced at the State Agency for State Service and Local Self-Government. For this, amendments need to be made to the Law "On Burial and Funeral Affairs."
The agency emphasized that the law allows for the construction of crematoriums; however, there is currently a lack of the necessary infrastructure. It is also essential to address issues related to the financing and operation of such facilities. A detailed analysis of organizational, socio-cultural, and other aspects will be required.
In light of the above, the agency proposed to postpone the decision-making and suspend the enforcement of the law on crematoriums until January 1, 2040.
