In the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, in the village of Lipenka, you can find houses built in 1916. This was reported by a Turmush correspondent.

These buildings are located on Eastern Street.

According to local residents, the village was founded in the early 1910s as a result of the resettlement of Russians. Currently, Lipenka is home to representatives of 20 different nationalities. Families still live in these historical houses, all of which are situated along one street.

"Many people show interest in our houses. For example, the roofs here are made of clay, with a thickness of 30 to 40 cm. We regularly update the roofs every two years and clear the snow in winter. These houses have unique architecture: their walls are thick and sturdy, which helps to retain heat in winter. Some roofs have been covered with tiles," the villagers noted.
