The three options for the new anthem were rejected by the Jogorku Kenesh

The proposed options do not meet the necessary criteria.

Today, the committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, local self-government, and the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh discussed the draft of a new version of the text and music of the State Anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Members of the commission responsible for selecting the best project for the anthem participated in the committee meeting, including the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev.

Kurmanqul Zulushiev, the chairman of the committee, reported that three options for the text and music of the anthem were presented for parliamentary discussion.

Minister Mambetaliev noted that the work of the selection commission was an important task, emphasizing that not every composer is capable of creating an anthem. "We analyzed all the works over the course of a year and selected three options," added commission member Chynara Umetalieva, as well as Sirtbay Musaev.

Zulushiev added that the three proposed options did not surpass the current anthem in any of the parameters—text, content, or musical arrangement—and therefore could not be accepted as viable solutions.

Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev suggested extending the competition to provide an opportunity for creating new, higher-quality works that could adequately represent the significance of the anthem and inspire citizens.

As a result of the discussion, the committee recommended rejecting all three options for the text and music of the country's new anthem.
