On January 29, a board meeting was held at the headquarters of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), where the results of the national security agencies' work for 2025 were summarized, as reported by the GKNB press service.

The event was attended by GKNB Chairman Kamchybek Tashiev and heads of various departments, including central, line, and territorial units.

Tashiev emphasized that the activities of the national security agencies have proven to be highly effective in ensuring both state and public security. He also noted significant successes in maintaining law and order and actively combating organized crime and corruption.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to efforts to combat corruption in government institutions. Measures to identify and prevent illegal activities among officials were discussed, as well as the task of cleansing government structures of corrupt elements.

"It is important to note that the fight against corruption remains one of the main priorities of state policy and is carried out on a systematic and institutional basis," the statement said.

At the board meeting, it was reported that over the past five years, as part of anti-corruption measures, 352 billion soms (equivalent to 4.14 billion dollars) in financial assets, state property, land plots, and other material values have been returned to the state treasury.

According to the GKNB, these funds have been fully deposited into the special account of the President's Stabilization Fund and are used "exclusively at the personal discretion of the head of state for the implementation of socially significant projects, infrastructure development, and improving the living standards of citizens of the republic."
