The meeting held in Bishkek brought together the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Seytek Jumakadyrov, and the head of the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy, Kate Collins. The main focus of the meeting was on issues of bilateral cooperation in consular affairs, particularly changes in the visa policy of the United States, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participants of the meeting discussed the current state of affairs regarding consular issues. The Kyrgyz side emphasized the need to continue constructive dialogue on visa matters to find mutually beneficial solutions.
The American side, in turn, raised issues concerning compliance with the visa regime by citizens of Kyrgyzstan and expressed a desire to continue discussions and cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness for further development of cooperation in the consular sphere.
