The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers initiated this draft law. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov presented information on the proposed amendments.
The amendments aim to eliminate deficiencies identified in the course of law enforcement practice, as well as to clarify the terms used in the Treaty on the Union. In addition, they provide for empowering the Eurasian Economic Commission with the authority to approve the methodology for qualifying obstacles in the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union and recognizing barriers and restrictions as eliminated.
