The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan called on doctors to return home

What conditions await them at home: safety, decent incomes, and acceptable working conditions?

During his working visit to Moscow, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Kanbek Dosmambetov, met with a group of 60 medical professionals currently working in Russian clinics. During this meeting, he outlined a plan for significant modernization of the healthcare system and assured the doctors that conditions would be created for their career advancement if they decided to return home.

Kanbek Dosmambetov reminded them of President Sadyr Japarov's promise made in April of this year to increase salaries for medical workers and teachers. As a result, it is expected that the average salary for a doctor will reach 62,500 soms, while more experienced specialists could earn up to 91,700 soms.

However, this initiative has caused dissatisfaction on social media. Users point out that even with the increase, the new rates in Kyrgyzstan are significantly lower than those in Moscow, where salaries start from 110,000-120,000 soms. Additionally, the country requires technical re-equipment of medical institutions and ensuring safety for workers in the course of their activities.
