
The Border Service has once again become independent, and a State Guard has been established, reporting directly to the president.
President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree under which the Border Service was removed from the structure of the GKNB.
Abdikarym Alimbaev has been appointed as the head of the Border Service.
Alisher Erbaev, previously a deputy of the 7th convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh from the "Butun Kyrgyzstan" party, now holds the position of deputy chairman of the GKNB and director of the Anti-Terrorism Center.
Uranbek Shadybekov has become the deputy head of the GKNB and director of the Coordination Center for Cybersecurity.
A new structure has also been created – the State Guard Service, which is formed on the basis of the 9th service of the GKNB and is under the direct control of the president.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to make the necessary changes to its decisions in accordance with the new presidential decrees.
