The former head of the State National Security Committee commented on his recent resignation
Kamchybek Tashiev, the former Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), commented on his unexpected resignation that occurred the day before, as reported by journalist Nurgazy Anarkulov. Tashiev shared his thoughts on social media.
"Due to illness and in agreement with the president, I traveled to Germany for an examination related to a previously performed operation," he noted.
"However, yesterday I was fired from my position, which was a complete surprise to me," Tashiev added.
He emphasized: "Despite everything, we must respect the president's decisions. I am proud that I served our people, our state, and the president honestly. However, I was saddened that I did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to the staff," said the former head of the GKNB.
Tashiev also expressed gratitude and wished good luck to all GKNB employees.
"For peace and stability to prevail in our country, no one should resort to illegal actions, and all our actions must comply with the law," he added in his address.
Recall that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov relieved Tashiev and all deputy heads of the GKNB from their positions. Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting head of the GKNB.
Additionally, changes occurred within the structure of the security service: the Border Service became an independent body again, and a State Guard Service was also established.
