Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu held a meeting with the head of the Turkish parliament
At a joint press conference held recently, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, announced Turkey's support for Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
Turgunbek uulu noted that the strengthening of relations between Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has opened new horizons for bilateral cooperation. As a result of signing numerous agreements, the next step will be their ratification.
In addition, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu invited representatives from Turkey to attend the VI World Nomad Games.
In response, Numan Kurtulmuş emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is an important partner for Turkey and confirmed support for the country's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the period of 2027-2028.
