Recent personnel changes in Kyrgyzstan have sparked active discussions among political scientists, both local and foreign. To diversify this discussion, we decided to present an alternative perspective that may attract readers' attention.
Predictions and divinations can be viewed in different ways. Some perceive them as serious forecasts, while others remain skeptical. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that some of the predictions made by Sveta Toygonbaeva have already come true. For example, in 2017, she predicted an increase in opponents of Almazbek Atambayev, and at the beginning of 2020 – the release of Sadyr Japarov after the elections.
In her new forecast for 2026, Toygonbaeva shares her feelings about the upcoming changes in Kyrgyzstan, suggesting that the country is facing a challenging period.
The return of old personnel
Toygonbaeva believes that Kyrgyzstan will face various challenges, from social to medical.
“If I listen to my inner feeling, 2026 may be a difficult year for the country. I sense that Kyrgyzstan will encounter certain difficulties. I do not rule out the emergence of viral diseases, and medical professionals should be particularly vigilant. Apparently, some former politicians and officials will come back to the forefront, and a female leader may emerge in politics.”
Border issues
According to the clairvoyant, resource issues and relations with neighboring countries will be particularly sensitive.
“The economic situation may cause concern among people. I anticipate a rise in unemployment and a slowdown in some construction projects. Housing construction will continue, but there will likely be fewer large factories and plants, based on my inner feelings. Problems with water resources and energy may become more acute. Coal and gold deposits should be developed within the country, without handing them over entirely to foreign investors.
Relations with Moscow, in my opinion, will be rather cold than warm. I also do not rule out that there may be problems at the border with Kazakhstan, possibly even leading to its closure. Therefore, the authorities should start a dialogue with neighboring countries right now. Additionally, disputes may arise at the border between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.”
About Sadyr Japarov and Kamchybek Tashiev
Toygonbaeva's forecast also touches on the country's leaders and possible personnel changes.
“When I think of President Sadyr Japarov, I envision a person with ambitious plans. However, there is also a troubling feeling that he needs to take care of his health. He will face many factors that may complicate decision-making. Some moments will be particularly challenging, and he is in for a tough period.”
“As for Kamchybek Tashiev, there will be a lot of talk around him. I assess his current state as stable, but his further path in Kyrgyzstan will be difficult and shrouded in uncertainty. I believe he will not return for now, but the situation may clarify within the next three months.”
The clairvoyant also commented on other politicians:
“Former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov may return to big politics and take one of the key positions. Changes await Kanybek Tumanbaev, possibly not the most favorable ones. However, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, in my feelings, will remain in his position and continue to fulfill his duties despite external pressure.”
“Officials should not have gone to Umra, as good deeds can be done at home, which earns the greatest recognition from the people. After the presidential elections, personnel changes may occur, and the government composition may be completely renewed.”
Overall, according to Toygonbaeva, Kyrgyzstan is on the brink of significant changes that could have a serious impact on the country's future.
