At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 18, Deputy Kunduzbek Suimanov expressed gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for allowing citizens to take the driving license exams after four months. He noted that this decision is aimed at ensuring the safety of the population.

The deputy emphasized: "I thank the president. Previously, I raised the issue of the training period for drivers. Everyone is now happy that the exam can be taken after four months. This is correct, considering that there is a probationary period of one year. Unfortunately, in Kara-Kuldzha, there was a traffic accident in which four people died. That is why the president is striving to ensure our safety. I ask: do not use this shortened training period to your detriment, study well and follow the traffic rules," he added.

At the beginning of February, Suimanov also spoke from the podium in response to Japarov's remarks about populists among the deputies. He argued that deputies raise the issue of reducing training periods at the request of citizens.

The deputy noted: "If this is the opinion of the people, is it also considered populist? Yes, at the meeting I stated that ten months is too long. This is the opinion of the population, and I agree with it. The president himself said that he trained for six months in DOSAAF. People who trained during the Soviet era and did not get into accidents also agree that ten months is too much. Some young people can master the theory in a month," concluded Suimanov.
