Talant Mamytov pointed out the mistake made by the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the "letter 75"
He recalled how in 2020, when the country faced serious challenges, the parliament was able to unite people and call for unity despite the difficult circumstances. Mamytov led the VI convocation of parliament and noted that the team of elected deputies at that time rejected political intrigues.
Speaking about the situation regarding the appeal of 75 citizens, Mamytov emphasized the importance of a legal approach to resolving all contentious issues, excluding intrigues and pressure.
He added: "The parliament does not have the right to give a legal assessment of possible early presidential elections. It would be better to immediately refer to the Constitutional Court to avoid further disputes." Mamytov stressed that the speaker should act as a crisis manager and adhere to the regulations, as the law must remain the top priority.
He also mentioned that he supported the candidacy of Marlen Mamataliyev for the position of speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh.
In his address to the new head of parliament, Mamytov expressed hope that he would not repeat the mistakes of the past and would fairly manage the parliament, ensuring unity among the deputies.
Mamytov also thanked the voters of multi-mandate district No. 13, clarifying that the mandate he received is an "amanat" and represents significant responsibility.
