The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan, Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev, met with the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, as reported by the parliament's press service.
During the event, the prospects for deepening political and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries were discussed. An important item on the agenda was the development of inter-parliamentary interaction.
Marlen Mamataliyev noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in strengthening good-neighborly and friendly relations with Uzbekistan, emphasizing the need to continue working on strategic partnership.
"It is important to maintain this spirit of cooperation," he added.
The Speaker also emphasized the significance of parliamentary diplomacy for the successful implementation of agreements reached between the countries.
For his part, Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev expressed support for the active development of Kyrgyzstan and its achievements, as well as shared his plans for strengthening bilateral ties within the framework of his diplomatic mission.
