Rafael Grossi: There is no direct evidence of nuclear bomb development in Iran

Grossi expressed concern about the restrictions faced by international inspectors at Iranian nuclear facilities. He noted that while there are currently no clear signs of nuclear bomb development, Tehran has nonetheless accumulated significant amounts of uranium, with enrichment levels close to weapon-grade standards. This, combined with insufficient access for inspectors to certain sites, prevents the agency from guaranteeing the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.

The Director General of the IAEA stated that his reports on the situation in Iran have always been consistent. He emphasized that as long as Tehran does not resolve all issues related to guarantees and does not ensure full cooperation, the international community will remain skeptical.

Grossi's position resonates with recent statements from Iranian and Russian leadership. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the development of nuclear weapons is not among the country's goals. Similar claims were made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, noting the lack of evidence supporting the military nature of Iran's developments. In the Federation Council of Russia, accusations against Iran were also described as unfounded, citing a lack of direct evidence.

Thus, at this moment, the IAEA confirms that the production of a nuclear bomb has not been recorded, but emphasizes the need to restore full control to eliminate potential risks in the future.
