Kyrgyzstan Purchases Two More Airbus Aircraft for "Asman Airlines". Agreement Signed

In the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan, a ceremony was held to sign an agreement for the acquisition of two Airbus A321ceo aircraft. This event took place on March 5, as reported by the government press service.

The document was signed by Manasbek Samidinov, who heads the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," and Steve Zissis, the CEO of BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management.

According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, today's agreements are the result of mutual trust and open dialogue, as well as a commitment to long-term cooperation. He noted that the use of modern aircraft will enhance the level of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan.

The head of the Cabinet also added that from 2021 to 2025, the number of passengers served at airports on domestic and international flights increased by 52%, and the number of flights performed increased by 53%. While in 2021 there were five airports operating in the country, now all airports in Kyrgyzstan are in operation.

President of Airbus Europe Johan Pelissier expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that direct contact has been established with representatives of the aviation industry in Kyrgyzstan for the successful implementation of joint projects. He also confirmed the intention to continue cooperation with Kyrgyzstan for further development of the aviation sector.

It is important to note that the delivery of the Airbus A321ceo aircraft to the open joint-stock company "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" is scheduled for the end of 2026.

This acquisition is aimed at supporting the national airline "Asman Airlines," which is a subsidiary of "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," with the goal of enhancing passenger comfort, improving flight safety, expanding routes, and strengthening positions on the international stage.
