The history of our people, rooted in deep antiquity, is characterized by the special value of family relationships between men and women, as well as between elders and juniors, parents and children, based on traditions and customs that have become an integral part of our culture. An important aspect of this is the folk sayings that emphasize the high status of women: “A man is the support of the home and the shield of the people, while a woman is the grace of the home and the foundation of family well-being,” “With a good wife, a husband is good,” “Mother's milk is sacred.” These wise words testify to the honorable position of women in society, their wisdom, kindness, and care, which contribute to the strength of the family and the stability of society.
For this reason, women in our nation have always been held in special respect. A significant role in the fate of the nation belongs to mothers like Chiyrdy, Kanykey, and Aichurok. It is no coincidence that in Kyrgyz culture there is an understanding: “Mother is sacred, daughter is precious.” Welcoming a daughter as a guest and providing her with an honorable place is a vivid proof of our national values.
In the context of globalization, preserving national traditions becomes especially relevant. Regardless of changes in the world, the moral foundations laid by our ancestors, including respect for women, must remain in the spotlight. After all, it is the upbringing provided by mothers that paves the way to a bright future. A nation that honors mothers and respects fathers will never be humiliated.
The state also highly values women as guardians of the family hearth and an important force contributing to the development of society, providing them with all kinds of support. We are proud of Kyrgyz women who make significant contributions to education, science, culture, medicine, entrepreneurship, and public administration. The names of such outstanding women as Kakish Ryskulova, Batys Salieva, Toktogon Altybasarova, Zuurakan Kainazarova, Telegey Sagymbaeva, and Tenti Adysheva will forever remain in the memory of the people, highlighting the significance of their role in society. These remarkable individuals continue the traditions of the wise mothers of the past and affirm the strength and potential of Kyrgyz women.
Today, there are also many women who, following the example of their remarkable predecessors, achieve high results in various fields and make a substantial contribution to the development of the country.
Our task is to preserve respect and adhere to the values inherited from our ancestors, which contributed to the emergence of revered women. Returning to our roots and traditions is the path to elevating the status of women, honoring mothers, and respecting daughters.
