Urmатбек Shamyrkanov was dismissed from the position of Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, as reported by the president's press secretary Askat Alagozov. The reason for the dismissal was suspicions of receiving a bribe while he was serving as Deputy Minister.

According to Alagozov, in particular, in 2025, Shamyrkanov demanded money for promoting one of the ministry's employees. The employee claims that half of the agreed amount was transferred to Shamyrkanov's electronic wallet, who at that time was the Deputy Minister. After Shamyrkanov was appointed Minister, the employee stated that he could not transfer the remaining part of the bribe, after which the minister reassigned him to work in the Batken region.

After that, the employee, who was transferred to Batken, decided to appeal to President Sadyr Japarov. The head of state instructed the General Prosecutor's Office to conduct an investigation, during which the stated facts were confirmed. As a result, President Japarov made the decision to dismiss Shamyrkanov, noting that this is a clear confirmation of the saying: "An unclean deed will become evident even after forty years," Alagozov reported.

He also emphasized that currently, illegal actions can be uncovered much faster than after decades, which should serve as a lesson for all public servants. Alagozov added that if it is established that any officials have committed illegal actions, the authorities will not turn a blind eye to this, even if such a person has just taken a high position.
