Attending the event were ambassadors from various countries accredited in Bishkek, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Turkey, and Pakistan, as well as Kyrgyz cultural and public figures, representatives of science, international organizations, and the Azerbaijani diaspora.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, Latif Gandilov, in his welcoming address, noted that this year Orozo Ait and Nowruz coincide in time. He emphasized the importance of Orozo Ait as a significant holiday celebrated after Ramadan and remarked that Nowruz symbolizes a rich spiritual heritage and renewal. "These two holy holidays, coinciding at the same time, testify to the joy of angels in heaven," Gandilov added.
According to him, these holidays embody peace, love, and unity, highlighting their significance for all people. The ambassador congratulated those present on the holidays, wishing them health, success, and mutual understanding, adding that Orozo Ait and Nowruz have always contributed to strengthening friendship between nations.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, also noted the significance of the holidays, emphasizing that relations with brotherly Azerbaijan are based on common cultural values and mutual respect. "We highly value the development of our relations and attach great importance to strengthening our strategic partnership," he said.
The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Kyrgyzstan, Ambassador of Tajikistan Nazirmad Alizoda, pleasantly surprised the guests by indicating the exact time of the arrival of Nowruz in Kyrgyzstan — March 20 at 20:46 according to the solar calendar. He noted that Nowruz is one of the oldest holidays mentioned in Zoroastrian texts and has been recognized by UNESCO.
The reception took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving positive emotions among the guests. They thanked the organizers for their hospitality and magnificent treats, including Azerbaijani shakh-plov, lyulya-kebab, and sweets.
Guests were also offered "Istisu" mineral water from the Kalbajar deposit, which, according to the ambassador, is now available in Kyrgyzstan. Gandilov emphasized that the production of this unique water, renowned for its healing properties, has resumed in the Kalbajar district, which was liberated from occupation. Attendees appreciated its quality and taste.
The festive event organized by the embassy was a vivid example of the traditions of these two significant holidays and contributed to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among people, regardless of their nationality and faith. Peace, friendship, and unity are the foundation for all peoples of the world.
The celebration was open not only to the Azerbaijani diaspora but also to representatives of other nations celebrating these events, as confirmed by the beautiful melodies that resonated throughout the evening.
