Reports suggest that he is linked to the former head of the Bishkek GKNB, Eldar Jakypbekov, who is also under suspicion.
Interestingly, B.A. is the brother of Aziz Beknazarov, who holds the position of deputy head of the Sverdlovsk ROVD of Bishkek. Aziz Beknazarov was previously dismissed from his position due to the arrest of his subordinate investigator from the Osh Department of Internal Affairs, who is suspected of receiving a bribe.
These events are occurring against the backdrop of recent personnel changes in the country's law enforcement agencies. On February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
Following this, Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting head of the GKNB. Three deputy chairmen of the GKNB were also dismissed.
On February 14, there was a change in leadership at the Main Directorate of the GKNB for Bishkek: Eldar Jakypbekov was replaced by Ulan Biibosunov. The next day, Jakypbekov was arrested.
Additionally, on February 16, Salmoor Jumabekov was removed from his position as head of the GKNB Main Directorate for Osh and the Osh region.
