- On March 18, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce shared information about the upcoming meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kazakhstan.

This forum will take place in Shymkent on March 26-27, 2026. Elimbek Kanybek uulu, head of the EAEU Coordination Department at the Ministry of Economy, reported on key decisions concerning the Kyrgyz Republic.

As Kanybek uulu noted, within the framework of the EAEU, a decision has been made to transition from declaration to certification for a certain group of goods.

The ministry clarified that compliance with technical regulations can be confirmed either through declaration or certification: both forms of documentation can certify compliance.

“Certification is a stricter process, where the responsibility lies with the body that issued the document. In the case of declaration, the responsibility rests with the applicant,” explained Elimbek Kanybek uulu.

He also added that for the implementation of certain self-propelled machines, a decision has been made to transition to certification. This applies to equipment for agricultural machines, woodworking machines, golf carts, and other categories. Kyrgyzstan will also receive a deferment until 2040 in this aspect.

“If we import or produce these goods domestically, declaration will be sufficient for us. Certification will only be required for export to other EAEU countries,” the head of the department clarified.
