On March 19, the former head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, was taken for questioning to the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after returning to Kyrgyzstan from abroad. This incident occurred around 10 a.m., sources from Kaktus.media report.

For reference, Tashiev left the country on February 17.

Earlier, on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov issued a decree relieving him of his position as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State National Security Committee. At that time, Tashiev was undergoing treatment in Germany.

Tashiev returned to Kyrgyzstan on February 13, stating that he had to stop his treatment, and then left the country again four days later.
