Recently, a ceremonial opening of the new administrative building of the State Institution "Center for Information Security" took place at the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). This was reported by the press service of the special service.
The ceremony was attended by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, the chairman of the GKNB.
As noted by the committee, the establishment of this Center responds to modern global challenges and is an important step towards strengthening the cybersecurity system and digital protection of the entire country's infrastructure. The new center will serve as a foundation for protecting digital sovereignty and contribute to the sustainable development of the digital economy.
The key tasks of the Center include:
- Development of proprietary software and hardware solutions for state needs;
- Certification and support of software and hardware solutions;
- Monitoring and rapid response to incidents;
- Creation of modern technological means for protecting both state and private data;
- Coordination of efforts among various agencies and training qualified IT specialists in the field of security.
The GKNB emphasized that the new building was designed taking into account the specifics of the high-tech unit's work. The facility is fully equipped with modern server and analytical systems, ensuring uninterrupted operation for specialists. The created conditions allow for effective resistance to cyberattacks and maintain the resilience of the country's critical digital services.
