President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced an important event for the country — the republic is now independently printing its national currency. He made this statement on his social media page. According to the head of state, this achievement not only contributes to budget savings but also emphasizes quality improvement, as the republic is ready to accept orders for printing currency and documents from other countries.
“Today is a significant day for Kyrgyzstan! For the first time in our history, we have started printing the som without the help of foreign printing houses. Previously, we were forced to order the printing of our currency abroad, which required financial expenditures. Now the situation has changed: we have reached a level that allows us to fulfill orders for printing currency for other states. In addition, we have received an international certificate confirming compliance with all standards in the production of banknotes,” noted the president.
The republic also demonstrates high quality in the production of essential national documents, including civil passports, ID cards, driver's licenses, and technical passports for vehicles. Kyrgyzstan is ready not only for currency printing but also for the production of various state documents for other countries. Currently, the republic is already accepting orders from several states, and the presence of a certificate guarantees a high level of product protection, making counterfeiting almost impossible. At the same time, prices remain affordable,” added Sadyr Japarov.
