Deputy Meder Aliyev proposed the introduction of a shortened workday for people with health issues during the summer period.

At a meeting held on January 22 in the Jogorku Kenesh, amendments to the Law "On Labor Protection" were discussed. During the discussion, Aliyev emphasized the need to take into account the changes in Kyrgyzstan's climate that affect workers' health.

He noted: "The climatic conditions have changed significantly in recent years, and global warming is observed. In the summer, temperatures can reach 40 degrees, which poses a serious danger to older workers, as well as to people suffering from hypertension, diabetes, and other diseases. In some countries, special conditions are introduced for such categories of workers, including a reduction of working hours by two hours. Can we consider similar measures?"

Deputy Minister of Labor Kamchybek Dosmatov noted that the current legislation lacks provisions regarding the creation of special working conditions due to climate changes, but this proposal could be subject to consideration.
