Two wings 'Ong' and 'Sol'

Legends.
In the first half of the 12th century, it is likely that the "Karakhanid" Kyrgyz reunited with the aforementioned "Pre-Irtysh" Kyrgyz (who already inhabited the Tian Shan) into a single ethnic community. This could represent a union of the tribes of the right wing (Ong-kanat) and the left wing (Sol-kanat). The right wing could have been composed of the "Karakhanid" Kyrgyz (Kara-Kyrgyz), which may have also included some tribes from among the Karakhanid Turks. The left wing of this union was likely made up of the "Pre-Irtysh" Kyrgyz. These events may have been connected to the activities of the supreme khan of the Eastern Karakhanids, Ahmed, or his son Ibrahim. This is likely what is reported in the Tajik-language work of the late Middle Ages "Majmu'at-tavarikh."

In the legends about the invasion of the Karakites and the struggle against them in Fergana and Tian Shan, it is said that this struggle was led by Imam Ibrahim ibn Ahmed. He is credited with creating the unions of the Kyrgyz tribes — the right wing (Ong) and the left wing (Sol). This event occurred around the year 1127. The commander of the right wing was appointed Lur-khan, while the commander of the left was Lur-Buzurg.

Regarding this, V. V. Romodin wrote that "it is certainly impossible to take this account and its dating (1127) at face value; it requires further verification from other sources. Given the existence of an ancient legend linking the Kyrgyz with Fergana and Tian Shan in pre-Mongol times, historians should already take this into account."
