Kubat Bi

Kubat Bi

One of the main characters of oral folk art.

As the commander of the Kyrgyz troops, he was not afraid to take responsibility and conducted political activities with great diligence. In the second half of the 18th century, Kubat Bi managed to unite almost all the tribal clans of the left wing of the Kyrgyz. His heroism and talent as a military leader were particularly evident during the struggle against the Kalmyk invasion. Kubat Bi did not recognize the authority of the Kokand Khanate, maintaining a relationship of parity with it.

To this day, there are records that he was the akim of Kashgar. Kubat Bi earned honor and respect for his wisdom and fair policies not only among his people but also among neighboring nations, who showed him their esteem by calling him Bahadur Bi.

All information about him dates back to the year 1785.
