The Entry of Kyrgyz into the Political Arena in Moghulistan
Said-Khan Against Muhammad-Kyrgyz In the early 16th century, the Kyrgyz entered the political arena in Moghulistan. Muhammad Haidar referred to their ruler as Sultan Khalil, son of Ahmed-Khan. As previously mentioned, the latter, before leaving for Tashkent to assist Mahmud-Khan, left Mansur-Khan as his regent, who was based in Aksu. In 1508, he defeated the brothers Sultan Said-Khan and Sultan Khalil in the area between the tributaries of the Ili, Charyn, and Chilik rivers.
