
In 2025, the production volumes of commercial fish in the Kyrgyz Republic reached 19,508.85 tons, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. This result was made possible by the efforts of both individuals and legal entities operating under contracts with the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The largest volumes of fish were produced in the Chui region, where 12,844.8 tons of commercial fish were recorded. It is followed by other regions with the following figures:
- Jalal-Abad region — 2,845.6 tons,
- Issyk-Kul region — 1,505.3 tons,
- Naryn region — 1,373.2 tons,
- Talas region — 533.45 tons,
- Osh region — 406.5 tons.
As for the types of fish, the largest shares in production structure are occupied by:
- rainbow trout — 17,132.05 tons,
- carp (common carp) — 813.2 tons,
- other fish species — 1,563.6 tons.
