
A memorial evening dedicated to the artist Chyngyz Aydarov will take place on January 24 at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev.
According to information provided by the museum, the event will be held in an open mic format.
Everyone is welcome to participate and remember Chyngyz by sharing personal stories and memories about him. This will be an opportunity for warm meetings and engaging stories. The organization of the memorial evening is supported by the museum.
Chyngyz Aydarov was born in 1984 in Frunze (then the Kyrgyz SSR) and was a multidisciplinary artist. He completed his studies at the S. A. Chuykov Art College, where he received a degree in "painting pedagogy." He gained fame through a series of artistic interventions and performances called "Nabeg," which combined painting, installation, and socio-political expression. In his works, Aydarov often explored themes of borders and post-Soviet reality.
The artist passed away on December 15, 2025, in Bishkek after a long illness at the age of 41.
