The grand event dedicated to the celebration of the New Year 2026 took place at Ala-Too Square, as reported by the city hall.
The event was attended by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, Acting Chairman of the Bishkek City Council Zhyldyzbek Abdraymov, and the mayor's deputies.
The mayor congratulated the residents and guests of the city on the upcoming New Year and highlighted the significant achievements made in 2025 for the development of the capital.
“This year, the city hall implemented many significant projects. Among them are the sports complex 'Alga', the 'Zhashtyk' arena, and the eco-technological plant for the disposal of solid household waste with electricity production — the first in Central Asia. May our city continue to develop and prosper. I hope our successes will continue in 2026,” the mayor added.
After the mayor's congratulatory speech, the festive program began, featuring stars of Kyrgyz pop music, creating a joyful atmosphere for all attendees.
The municipality congratulated the citizens and guests on the New Year 2026 — the Year of the Red Fire Horse! “The Fire Horse embodies energy, courage, and the pursuit of new achievements. May this year bring you confidence, inspiration, and dynamic movement towards new goals,” the city hall wished.
