On November 10, a ceremonial opening of the small arena at the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium took place in Bishkek. The event was attended by the country's president, Sadyr Japarov.

According to the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, the updated facility covers an area of 15,000 square meters. Approximately 1.3 billion soms were allocated for the reconstruction of the arena.

The ceremony began with a video presentation telling the history of the arena, followed by a concert program featuring artists and dance groups.

In his address to the people of Kyrgyzstan, President Japarov congratulated everyone on Youth Day and emphasized that the updated arena will serve as a venue for cultural and sporting events aimed at the younger generation. He also announced the new name of the facility — "Zhashtyk-Arena".
