The event featured performances by the Grand Symphony Orchestra, which added to the festive atmosphere. The major renovation was carried out at the request of the capital construction department of the mayor's office.
The restoration work on the fountain included complete dismantling and reconstruction. The surface of the fountain was cleaned using sandblasting, and the old water supply system, excess concrete layer, old covering, and lighting were dismantled.
Special attention was paid to the restoration of decorative elements. Missing details on the bottom, walls, and sculptures were recreated using traditional marble, granite, and smalt laying technologies, which allowed for the preservation of the original design created over 50 years ago. All restored elements retained their historical appearance.

During the work, waterproofing of the fountain basin was carried out: the surface was cleaned, joints and cracks were sealed, and a multi-layer varnish was applied to enhance color and shine. The pumping and electrical equipment was completely updated, and a dispatching and communication channel was created, connecting it to the fountain.
The adjacent area was also improved: new paving was laid that harmonizes with the style of the fountain, benches and trash containers were installed. The outdoor lighting is now implemented using modern solar lamps.
