
The mayor emphasized that over the past three years, Bishkek has received 1,000 new gas buses from China, which have replaced more than 3,000 minibuses. Additionally, thanks to the support of international partners, the capital has seen the introduction of 120 electric buses, 85 charging stations, and the complete renovation of bus depots No. 1 and 2.
"Currently, more than 1,500 units of public transport operate in the city daily. In the near future, we expect the arrival of 95 new 12-meter Yutong buses. About 3,500 people work in this sector, including 2,500 drivers," added Aibek Junushaliev.


He also noted that significant attention is being paid to road works. In 2025, a major overhaul of 125 streets is planned, along with the renovation of sidewalks on 38 streets. Currently, 51 streets have already been repaired, and more than 20,000 linear meters of sidewalks have been restored.
Over 300 units of special equipment and about 1,000 specialists are involved in road projects. Construction of four bridges is also ongoing, one of which has already been put into operation.
