In Kyrgyzstan, over 1,200 kilometers of roads were built and updated in 2025

This year, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan has completed the implementation of numerous significant road projects throughout the region, as reported by the press service of the ministry.

Among the key projects are the construction and reconstruction of sections such as Barskoon — Bedel, Balakchi — Bokonbaev — Karakol, Ala-Buka — Zhany-Bazar — Kirovka, and Naryn — Bayetov.

Particular attention has been paid to the development of road infrastructure in the vicinity of Bishkek. Currently, the construction of sections Bishkek — Kant, Bishkek — Kuntuu — Shopokov, as well as Lebedinovka — HPP-5 and the northern bypass road of the capital is actively underway. The creation of a new six-lane highway has begun, aimed at reducing traffic load and decreasing the likelihood of congestion.

In 2025, the major overhaul of 33 kilometers of the road Uzgen — Myrzake — Kara-Kuldja will also be completed, and the roads Osh — Batken — Razzakov and Tyup — Kegen have undergone reconstruction. The central street of Cholpon-Ata has also been updated.

Additionally, the reconstruction of the roads Osh — Batken — Razzakov and Tyup — Kegen has been completed, which are of great importance for the development of tourism and improving communication links between regions.

As part of investment programs, work continues on the restoration of the roads Korundu — Balbai Baatyr, the section from the village of Barskoon to Karakol, as well as Suusamyr — Talas — Taraz. The construction of a 748-meter tunnel on the Bishkek — Osh highway has begun.

According to information from the Ministry of Transport, this year over 1200 kilometers of roads have been asphalted in the country, which is a record figure for recent years.
