In Kyrgyzstan, more than 90 PPP projects worth 434 billion soms are being implemented, - Amangeldiev

At the IV International Conference on Public-Private Partnership in Kyrgyzstan, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev reported on the implementation of more than 90 PPP projects, with a total cost exceeding 434 billion soms.

According to him, updated legislative acts on "Investments" and "Public-Private Partnership" will come into effect in 2025, creating transparent conditions for cooperation between the state and business, ensuring equal guarantees for investors and long-term conditions for stable investments.

"In our PPP Center's portfolio, there are over 90 projects worth more than 434 billion soms. Over the past year, more than 10 investment agreements have been signed, with a total amount exceeding 3 billion dollars," noted Amangeldiev, listing several large projects that are already in the implementation stage.

He also added that in 2025, local financial institutions will join the PPP projects and called on regional leaders to actively initiate new PPP projects.

In conclusion of his speech, the First Deputy Chairman emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic is open to cooperation.

"I am confident that the alliance of the state, business, and international organizations will be the main driver of sustainable development in our country," he summarized.
