At the international competition "Best Alcohol" in Moscow, ethyl alcohol from Kyrgyzstan was awarded two silver medals, confirming its compliance with global quality standards. Additionally, at the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages competition "Zalaty Kelik," which took place in Minsk, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan's premium alcohol won a gold medal.
Since its revival in 2020, the State Enterprise "Kara-Baltin Alcohol Plant" has made significant improvements in the quality of its products, working conditions for employees, and financial indicators.
Following the introduction of a state monopoly on the production and sale of ethyl alcohol in 2022, there has been a noticeable increase in excise revenue from alcohol producers. In 2021, the volume of excise tax amounted to 1.2 billion soms, while in 2022 it increased to 2.05 billion. It is projected that by 2024 this amount will reach a record 4.29 billion soms, the agency reports.
According to data from the State Agency for Management of State Property, there are currently two branches operating: "Ideal-Pharm," which is engaged in the production of pharmaceutical products (over the past three months of the current year, exports amounted to more than 300 million soms), and "Sokuluk," where alcoholic products are produced.
It is worth noting that in July 2022, the president signed a decree establishing a 100% state monopoly on the production, import, storage, and sale of ethyl alcohol in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
