The real growth rate compared to the same period in 2024 was 100.9%.
The main factor in the increase in gross output was the development of animal husbandry, where production volume increased by 3%. In particular, meat production rose by 3%, milk by 2.7%, and eggs by 6.4%.
However, the crop production sector experienced a decline of 1.4% compared to last year. Specifically, wheat production decreased by 26.7%, barley by 30.7%, cotton by 39.6%, and oilseeds by 8.9%.
The most significant decline in agricultural production volumes was noted in the Chui and Talas regions, which is a result of a shortage of irrigation water and adverse weather conditions.
Nevertheless, some crops showed growth: corn production increased by 8.1%, rice by 11.2%, vegetables by 7.4%, fruits and berries by 10.3%, and melons by 17.2%. These results are attributed to improved irrigation conditions and the expansion of greenhouse areas in the southern regions of the country.
Fieldwork continues in the republic. Of the total sown area for grain crops, 529.7 thousand hectares have been harvested, which accounts for 78% of the total volume. The gross grain harvest reached 1.6 million tons, which is 15.1 thousand tons more than last year's figures.
In particular, wheat was harvested from an area of 246.2 thousand hectares (6.7 thousand hectares more than in 2024), with a gross yield of 488.8 thousand tons. Corn was harvested from 9.3 thousand hectares out of a total sown area of 111.6 thousand hectares, with a gross yield of 68.0 thousand tons.
According to the department, this year the yield of certain crops decreased due to a lack of irrigation water and earlier ripening of the harvest, which occurred 2-3 weeks earlier than last year. This affected the production volumes for the reporting period.
The contribution of agriculture to the formation of the country's gross domestic product over the nine months was 0.09 percentage points, and its share in the GDP structure reached 9.3%.
