In certain regions of Russia, there is an increase in fuel prices at small gas stations that are not part of large networks, according to information from Rpravda.ru.
The Ministry of Energy of Russia informed RBC that the price increase at such gas stations exceeds the inflation rate, while large companies adhere to a more restrained pricing policy focused on social responsibility.
Monitoring the Situation by the Ministry of Energy
The Ministry of Energy confirmed that they are actively monitoring the current situation. The agency conducts daily monitoring of the oil product market and collaborates with regional authorities to ensure stable fuel supply for both the economy and the population. The ministry is confident that the expected seasonal decrease in fuel consumption will help create reserves, which will have a positive impact on price stabilization.
Government Measures to Stabilize the Market
The agency also noted that the temporary restrictions on gasoline exports imposed by the government have contributed to an increase in fuel volumes in the domestic market. Additionally, there is a ban on the export of diesel fuel for "non-producers," aimed at preventing the export of fuel intended for domestic consumption.
At the end of September, the government extended the temporary ban on gasoline exports until the end of 2025, which was introduced at the end of July and had previously been extended. This decision is related to the reduction of fuel supplies at gas stations in several regions due to decreased production volumes at Russian oil refineries.
Furthermore, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree temporarily abolishing the price deviation threshold when calculating the fuel damper from October 1 to May 1 of the following year. During this period, damper payments to oil companies will be made without taking into account the price difference for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel.
