The rise in prices is due to the shortage of petroleum products in Russia

In Kyrgyzstan, an increase in prices for fuel and lubricants (F&L) by 15 percent is expected. This information was provided by the Antimonopoly Regulation Service.

The reason for the price increase is the deficit of petroleum products in Russia. Kyrgyz oil traders are facing limited fuel supplies, as Russian companies prefer clients who are willing to pay more.

To stabilize the situation, the antimonopoly service suggests that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce consider the possibility of support, including temporary tax rate reductions (excise duties, VAT, environmental fees, and other mandatory payments) and providing preferential loans to oil traders for purchasing fuel at new prices.

The service also assured that by the end of the current year, Kyrgyzstan will not face fuel supply disruptions, as reserves will meet the country's needs until the end of October.
