Amendments Made to the Laws on Military and Emergency Situations

On September 25, the Jogorku Kenesh approved amendments

President Sadyr Japarov signed a law concerning changes to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, titled "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (to the Constitutional Laws of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On Martial Law' and 'On Emergency Situations')."

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on September 25, 2025.

According to information provided by the president's press service, the purpose of this constitutional law is to adapt the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Martial Law" and "On Emergency Situations" to the requirements of the constitutional law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic," as well as to ensure the fulfillment of the powers of the ombudsman in conditions of martial and emergency law.
