Parties, trade unions, and religious organizations are required to disclose their income and expenses

The law was signed by President Sadyr Japarov


The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has approved a law concerning amendments to legislation titled "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Reporting of Certain Non-Profit Organizations." This document was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on September 24, 2025.
The new law introduces several important changes:
1) The amendments concern the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Trade Unions" and "On Political Parties," which state the following:

– Information on the size and structure of income, as well as information on the composition and size of the property of trade unions and political parties, and their expenses are not subject to commercial confidentiality;
– Trade unions and political parties that use funds provided free of charge are required to publish summary information on the sources of funds and their expenditure directions on the website of the authorized tax authority by April 1 of each year, as well as data on acquired, used, and disposed property;
2) Regarding the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Cooperatives" and "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations," according to these regulations:

Non-profit cooperatives and religious organizations registered with the justice authorities and operating on funds provided free of charge must also publish summary information for the previous year on the sources of funds, their expenditures, as well as data on acquired, used, and disposed property on the website of the authorized tax authority by April 1.
