The Days of History and Memory of Ancestors have lost their holiday status
The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that November 7 and 8, which are celebrated as the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors, are no longer considered public holidays.
“According to Article 66 of the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, these dates are state holidays — the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors. However, in accordance with the current labor legislation, they are now working days, but the duration of the working day is reduced by one hour,” the ministry emphasized.
