The Department of Public Procurement under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, within the framework of the Public Procurement Development Strategy for 2012-2014, approved by the resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 27, 2012, No. 661, together with invited consultants, has developed and submitted for consideration to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On Public Procurement'.
The draft law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic in the first reading on June 19, 2014, No. 4189-V.
In order to discuss and inform the public about it, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Economic and Fiscal Policy, together with the Department of Public Procurement under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, is holding parliamentary hearings today to discuss the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On Public Procurement'.
Participants in the discussion include deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of state enterprises and joint-stock companies, as well as members of NGOs and business associations.
As a result of this discussion, recommendations will be developed for amendments and additions to the draft law.
This event is being conducted with the assistance of the 'Capacity Development in Public Financial Management' Project.
